Programs & Outreach
Serving Our Community
Sharing God's love through meaningful ministry and outreach
At Zion Lutheran Church, we believe faith is lived out through service. Our programs are designed to nurture spiritual growth, build community, and extend God's love to all people—especially those who need it most.
Vacation Bible School
August • Open to the Community
Each August, we host an exciting week of Vacation Bible School that brings together children from our church and the wider McLaughlin community. VBS is a highlight of our summer, filled with fun, learning, and spiritual growth.
VBS Activities Include:
- Bible Stories - Engaging lessons about God's love
- Music & Singing - Fun songs that teach faith
- Crafts - Creative projects children love
- Games - Active play and teamwork
- Snacks & Fellowship - Healthy treats and friendship
All children from the community are welcome to participate. Registration opens each spring. Contact us for more information about this year's program!

Children's Sunday School
Age-appropriate Bible lessons, activities, and crafts that make learning about God fun and engaging for our youngest members.
Confirmation Class
Preparing young people to affirm their baptismal faith through study of Luther's Small Catechism and Lutheran traditions.
Adult Education
Opportunities for adults to deepen their faith through Bible study, discussion groups, and exploration of Lutheran theology.
Caring for Creation
As part of the ELCA, we believe that caring for God's creation is an expression of our faith. We are called to be good stewards of the earth and to work toward a sustainable future for all.
Our congregation participates in environmental initiatives and encourages responsible use of resources. We believe that protecting the environment is part of our calling to love our neighbors—both present and future generations.
"The earth is the Lord's and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it." — Psalm 24:1
